Lip oils have been the lip IT girl for the last few years now as people start prioritising lip care and its benefits for hydrated lips, all while still getting that high shine, glossy finish for the perfect pout.
What Is a Lip Oil?
What Does Lip Oil Do?
Lip oils are formulated to give you a number of benefits like lip care, lip glow and lip tint. They glide on like a lip balm but still give you a glossy effect so you get the best of both worlds. You can wear these solo or on top of your fave lip liner and lipstick combo! The hydrating properties of meadowfoam seed oil and capric triglyceride (coconut oil derivative) act as a lip care product, while rich emollients provide that glass-like lip effect.
Why Is It Good For the Lips?
By adding the ultimate hydration with skin-loving and hydrating ingredients. Who wouldn’t want smooth glossy lips? Our lips oils are packed with nourishing emollients to soften them, preventing dryness and cracking. The flavours and scents also don't cause irritation! Bonus! But what's in them?
- Capric Triglyceride: A light, silky oil derived from coconuts that helps to nourish and smooth the lips without a greasy feel and prevents moisture loss.
- Meadowfoam Seed Oil: A plant-based oil known for its moisturising properties. It forms a protective barrier on the lips to seal in hydration.
- Vitamin E: A natural antioxidant and helps to protect the delicate skin on your lips from environmental stressors.
How to Use a Lip Oil
Babe, it's never been simpler! You can add this directly on top of your favourite lip liner and lipstick combo to add moisture and shine, or wear alone when you're on-the-go for a subtle colour tint and natural shine! Simply swipe it directly over your lips. Want to wake up with soft, nourished lips? Apply a thick layer before bed for overnight hydration.

Do You Layer Lip Oil or Use It On Its Own?
That's totally up to you and the look you're trying to achieve but lip oils can absolutely be used for both! Use them alone or on top of your favourite lip combo without affecting your lip look. They're perfect for a sheer wash of colour and that glossy, hydrated look we love.
Layering Your Lip Oil
Lip oil can be used with lip liners, lipsticks and balms to create a full, sculpted and glossy lip look. Follow our simple step-by-step guide to layering it with other products.
Step 1: Prep with a lip exfoliator
Start with a clean canvas, babe. Use our edible lip scrub to buff away any dry, flaky skin. This ensures any lip products go on smoothly and helps your lip oil and other products absorb better and stay in place, giving you a perfectly prepped pout.
Step 2: Define with lip liner
Use a lip liner to define the shape of your lips. Making your lips look fuller is simple— slightly overline them for a fuller effect. This step also prevents your lipstick or gloss from bleeding.
Step 3: Add your lipstick or lipbalm
Fill in your lips with one of our long-wear liquid lipsticks or a solid lipstick for a bold, pigmented look, or use a lip balm for extra hydration and a softer natural-looking base.
Step 4: Layer the lip oil
Finally, apply the lip oil over your lipstick or balm. Focus the application on the center of your lips to create a plumping, luminous effect. The oil will add a glossy finish and a boost of moisture to the entire look.
How Long Does a Lip Oil Last?
Our long wearing lip oils last several hours without the need of constant reapplication. Always remember to reapply after eating or drinking to keep those lips looking glossy and gorgeous! Your lip oil has 5ml so wont be running out too quickly!
